Amorino was created in the heart of Paris on Ile St Louis in 2002 by two Italian childhood friends Cristiano Sereni and Paolo Benassi. The two founders' passion is highlighted through exacting standards of quality, consistency, and flavor.

Amorino is the very essence of traditional Italian gelato. Paolo Benassi said, "Our objective is to make the highest quality gelato as naturally as possible with no artificial colors or flavorings". The creation of each new flavor of gelato starts with the most rigorous selection of sourced ingredients, combined with the patience and skill of our highly-trained chefs. Amorino is fully conscious of the requirements that is needed to make perfect gelato and will not rush this delicate process. For each new recipe, we push ourselves to maximize the flavor and taste. This is accomplished by using organic and natural products, sourcing ingredients directly from reputable suppliers and by overseeing every stage of the production process.

In 2005, Cristiano Sereni and Paolo Benassi centralized their gelato production. Centralizing their production allowed Amorino to combine their valuable experience with new techniques from their tasting kitchen to the production of each flavor.

Under the watchful eyes of Amorino’s chefs, the gelato and sorbets are churned daily in typical Italian fashion. Amorino uses the freshest ingredients, including free range organic eggs, the highest grade whole milk, no artificial colors, and no artificial flavors.
