The Five-Star Beverly Hills Hotel
The Beverly Hills Hotel is one of the most recognizable and upscale establishments in Beverly Hills and the greater Los Angeles area. It was built in 1912 by the Dorchester Collection - an extremely exclusive brand of luxury hotels.
The Dorchester Collection's five-star hotels are in a handful of cities around the world - including London, Paris, Geneva, Rome, and Milan. The Beverly Hills Hotel is situated on Sunset Boulevard, surrounded by 12 acres of lush gardens, flowers, and palm trees in the heart of Beverly Hills.
The Hotel is known by many as “The Pink Palace" because of its classic soft-pink color. Presidents, actors, musicians, and politicians have been visiting and staying in the hotel for as long as anyone in Beverly Hills can remember. The Hotel has high-end boutiques, enchanting lounges, bars, cafés, and spas. The Polo Lounge, Bar Nineteen 12, The Cabana Café, The Fountain Coffee Room, and The Spa by La Prairie are just some on its impressive roster.
The hotel is owned by the Sultan of Brunei and Hassanal Bolkiah, both ranked by Forbes as the some of the wealthiest individuals in the world. In the Hotel there are more than 200 rooms and 23 bungalows, averaging a price of more than $500 per night. During peak seasons, prices skyrocket to upwards of $1,000. One of the Presidential Bungalows boasts a price tag of more than $15,000 per night, which to the surprise of many, is not such a big deal to many who frequent The Beverly Hills Hotel.
